Crossword turns the short answers in your study set into an interconnected word puzzle. Each clue is a question from your material, and the answer belongs in the highlighted squares. Choose any clue to start, type what you remember, and check the word when you are ready. A correct answer locks into the board and gives you letters for the words that cross it. The connection between answers lets you approach a difficult question from another direction: solve a familiar clue first, then return with a few helpful letters already in place.

Three modes give the same material different shapes. Crossword ladder places one answer across the board, with vertical answers crossing it, similar to a simple classroom worksheet. Classic crossword connects answers horizontally and vertically across a larger grid. Secret word adds numbered golden squares whose letters reveal a separate answer from the study set as you solve the board. The layout depends on the letters available in your answers. A set with more distinct, short words gives the generator more opportunities to connect them; each board shows how many suitable answers it uses.

Play at your own pace with no question timer. Tap a word on the board or choose it from the clue list, then enter the answer using the game keyboard, your device keyboard or a physical keyboard. You can move between unfinished clues and come back to them later. If a word is difficult, reveal a letter and continue from there. Correct words stay in place, and crossing letters remain useful throughout the puzzle. The completion view separates words solved without hints from words that needed a little help, so you can see which terms to review.

Crossword answers must be single words containing only letters. Spaces, hyphens, numbers and multi-word names are not accepted. For a saved document, a dedicated question set is generated from the study material, with each new clue targeting one supported concept. Your regular quiz stays unchanged. When the original material is unavailable, suitable one-word answers from the existing study set can be used. If a set cannot produce a connected board, choose another mode or use a larger set of short answers. Vocabulary, scientific terminology, place names and key concepts are useful starting points.
