About Dice Dash

Dice Dash is a party board game built from your own study notes. Up to six players pick an animal and race around a tropical island board. The goal is simple: collect the most stars. A star sits somewhere on the loop, and anyone who passes it with 20 coins buys it. Then it moves to a new spot, and the race starts again.

Every round starts with a question, and everyone answers it at the same time, so nobody sits and waits for their turn. A right answer earns 3 coins and the golden die, which rolls from 1 to 10. A miss rolls the small die, from 1 to 4. The fastest right answer gets a bonus coin. Then you tap STOP to roll, and every animal hops across the board together.

Where you land matters. Blue tiles give 3 coins and red tiles take 3. Lucky tiles spin up a surprise, like a coin shower, swapping places with another player, or taking coins from the leader. The island shop sells Lucky Dice (two dice on your next roll), Star Warp (jump right next to the star) and a Shield that blocks your next coin loss. Land on a duel tile and you face another player in a one-on-one question for 5 coins.

Every third round is a mini-game, and every mini-game is also a question: Speed Buzz pays the fastest right answers, Treasure Dive lets right answers pick a chest, and Triple Threat asks three quick questions in a row. The last three rounds are the Last Dash, where blue tiles pay double and the player in last place rolls +2. When the final round ends, bonus stars go to the player with the most right answers and the player who collected the most coins.

Questions someone missed come back a few rounds later as a Second chance, and the end screen lists every question you missed with the right answer. Play alone against three bots, where questions are never timed, or tap Play with friends to get a room code and a QR code. Friends join from their own phones without an account. Online, everyone gets 30 seconds per question.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can play Dice Dash?

From 1 to 6. Play alone against three bots, or host a room and share the code. The host can also add bots to fill empty seats.

Do my friends need an account to join?

No. They open the invite link, scan the QR code, or type the room code at studyquest.app/join, then pick a name and an animal.

Is Dice Dash timed?

Not when you play against bots: the game waits for your answer. Online, everyone gets 30 seconds per question, and the countdown only shows in the last 10 seconds.

What happens when I answer wrong?

You still move, just with the small die (1 to 4) instead of the golden die. The right answer is shown, you can ask for an explanation, and the question can come back later as a Second chance.

How do I win?

Collect the most stars. Pass the star with 20 coins to buy one. After the last round, bonus stars go to the player with the most right answers and the player who collected the most coins. If stars are tied, coins decide.
