Night Train: An Overnight Train Ride Built From Your Notes

Board a sleeper train that leaves at night and arrives at dawn. In each carriage a passenger who knows one part of your notes from their own work talks you through it, then asks you about it. Miss something and the conductor brings it back at the next stop.

About Night Train

Night Train reads your notes again and builds a sleeper train around them. The era and the landscape outside the window fit the material: a 1914 line through Flanders for a First World War unit, a coastal line past wetlands for ecology, an ordinary regional train for maths.

Each carriage covers one part of your notes. The passenger there has a reason to know it from their own work, like a ferry captain who plans every crossing around the tides. They explain it in a few short lines, then ask you about it in conversation. Sometimes two passengers disagree and you settle it.

Get something wrong and the passenger explains it again a different way. Later the conductor brings the same question back at a station stop. Every finished carriage stamps your ticket, and the sky goes from night to dawn as you go.

Night Train is part of Premium. Your route is kept, so you can stop at any station and carry on later on the same device, or ask for a different route from the same notes.

Who It's For

Students who want someone to talk them through a topic before they are asked about it, and anyone who likes a calm story more than a timer.

Study Set Ideas

History

Passengers from the period, like a nurse back from the front or a signal fitter on the line, make dates, names and causes stick.

Biology and ecology

A coastal or farmland route with people whose work depends on the topic, like a fisher who watches the tides.

Geography

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a ride?

About 10 to 15 minutes: five or six carriages with three to five questions in each, plus the questions the conductor brings back.

Where do the questions come from?

From your own study set. When the passengers ask something new, it comes from a quoted part of your notes, so the answer can be checked against them.

What happens when I get one wrong?

The passenger explains it again in a different way, and the conductor asks you the same question again at a later stop.

Is Night Train free?

Night Train is part of Premium, because a whole route with its passengers is written for each set of notes.

Can I stop and continue later?

Yes. On the same device your ride is saved after every answer, and you can carry on from the carriage you were in.
