Hi, I'm Torstein 👋

The idea came up in a discussion with my study mates in 2024. I realized I knew all 178 champions in League of Legends: every ability, every strength, every weakness. Nobody ever sat down and memorized that. It just stuck, because a game taught it. Meanwhile none of us could remember chapter two of the textbook. So the question wrote itself: how do we adapt that into studying?

So I built the first version for myself: upload the material, let AI turn it into questions, and answer them inside an actual game instead of staring at a highlighter. It worked. Friends asked to use it, then their classmates did, and at some point it stopped being a side project.

Today StudyQuest has more than 50 games and a team in Bergen behind it. Students around the world have generated over 1,000,000 questions from their own notes and readings.

We build StudyQuest side by side with students and teachers all over the world. I still read every piece of feedback that comes in, and it decides what we build next. The goal is simple: make this the best study app there is.
